I am LMS, owner and operator of this site to fund chaplaincy services for persons desiring to get a handle on “God’s Vantage Point” when making life-changing choices.  I have a heart felt interest in chaplaincy services.

Here is my story….stick figure boy flying on a balloon clipartregarding “Have Chaplain, Will Travel”

My eldest child was found down and unresponsive in his own yard by a friend.  911 was called.  My child’s heart was re-started several times in route to a local hospital.  On life support already, it was determined that my child could not survive.  As a mercy, since my child is from a broken home, I contacted his Dad and brother.

The hospital’s doctor three times attempted to “complete” his declaration of my child’s death and terminate life support even when informed his Dad was on his way.  The Doctor could not know, nor I, that “Dad” missed the immediate “red eye” flight West.  Medicine did not know our child could not survive when Medics restarted the heart: that came later with the discovery of extensive brain damage.  How to meet everyone’s needs? with love?

It did not end there.  After I received my child’s ashes for burial beside a country chapel, someone broke in and stole my child’s carefully purchased burial urn.  Advising local police that the thief would return as the urn was empty, nothing was done.  The next day my place was broken into again and a whole window was removed to gain entry. Stuff was tossed around.  The local police arrived again – two squad cars full this time.  What is the loving thing to do? how to consider what this means?

My child’s ashes were with me at all times after the day before’s theft. My child was buried beside the chapel above, and rests beside still blue waters.  What of the police investigation? the thief? family relationships.

As I considered what a loving response to these life-changing events might be, I thought of other events: changing jobs, marriage, death, elderly parents, financial demands, school, career choice.  Lists may quite possibly be endless.

“Have Chaplain, Will Travel” is my heart felt response and contribution.  I hope to fund the cost of local persons in my town being able to request to meet with a chaplain in person.  Thus this site and this store and my etsy shop (button transfer on Landing (Title) Page).  HAVE CHAPLAIN, (who) WILL TRAVEL locally, upon request, to meet up with someone when that person is in the crush of considering how to respond to life issues.  Chaplains know local sources and can sit down and chat about “God’s Vantage Point.”

Most respectfully,

LMS.
